Not
many movie franchises make a return after 19 years
with the same leading man. But then again Indiana
Jones films have always been known to do things that
no other movies could. Harrison Ford, 65, returns as
an older Indiana Jones in Indiana Jones and the
Kingdom of the Crystal Skull all set to release
on May 22, 2008.
The
previous three Indiana Jones films presented
compelling adventures of epic proportions making the
new
Indiana Jones
Crystal Skull adventure one of the most
eagerly awaited sequels of all times. Directed
Steven Spielberg, assisted by the larger than life
production skills of George Lucas, promises that the
Crystal Skull film will stay true to the original
Indiana Jones movies while simultaneously
incorporating the vast enhancements moviemaking has
seen in the last two decades.
Ford
is surrounded by new faces this time around like
Shia LaBeouf, Cate Blanchett, Ray Winstone, and Jim
Broadbent. Karen Allen, who appeared in Raiders
of the Lost Ark, reprises her role as Marion
Ravenwood. The movie’s filming is primarily said to
have been in USA and New Mexico.
The
main plot of the Indiana Jones Crystal Skull
adventure hasn’t yet been fully revealed. However,
taking into account the magical powers and
extraterrestrial connections the legend of the
crystal skull has, we can bet that it’ll be nothing
short of scintillating. It has however been revealed
that Indy will be combating Russian villains this
time. And the film will be taking place in the
1950s.
Until the
Indiana Jones preview comes out some time towards
the end of 2007 we can’t really be sure what to
expect from Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the
Crystal Skull. One thing we can bank on,
however, is that the Indiana Jones Crystal Skull
adventure will leave us hungry for more like the
Indiana Jones movies have always done.
